Starred Photos -- This is a large statue of the Hindu god Vishnu. Ankor Wat was originally a Hindu site when it was built in the early 12th century. In the 14th or 15th century Angkor Wat was converted to a Buddhist temple. This statue of Vishnu may have once stood at the center of the temple befrore the transition.
